THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kudumbasree - Kerala has bagged the first position in the National Urban Livelihood Mission SPARK rankings for the fiscal year 2020-21. This is the first time that Kerala has topped the spark rankings. The National Urban Livelihood Mission Plan for the upliftment of the urban poor in the state is implemented through Kudumbasree Mission. The scheme has been implemented in 93 municipalities since 2015 in collaboration with the municipalities and the Kudumbasree system. The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has been presenting the Spark Ranking Awards to the states every year at the national level for excellence in project implementation. In the financial year 2018-19, Kerala got the second position and in the year 2019-20 it got the third position. The prize money is Rs 20 crore.
